Our Program
We have a focus on flexibility and choice. Our families choose us because they want a personalized educational environment with the flexibility of selecting from a large variety of curricular options. Upon enrollment, we provide each family with an Educational Specialist. This credentialed teacher provides ongoing guidance and support to families and informs students of school enrichment opportunities.
Support
In partnership with the Educational Specialist, a customized learning plan is created for each student. This plan is an overview of the curriculum, units, lessons, and topics to be completed during the course of the school year. Throughout the school year, families connect with their Educational Specialist virtually to discuss work and manage student progress.
Choice
Students are allocated instructional funds that can be used to purchase curriculum, supplies, lessons, and classes to enhance student learning. Additionally, students can participate in synchronous or asynchronous learning provided by our Educational Specialists. These opportunities include virtual live classes and clubs. We also offer free online resources, in-person field trip opportunities, and special events. These enrichment experiences enhance knowledge and encourage students to develop new passions and skills.
Growth
Each student participates in school-wide virtual assessments three times throughout the school year. In the spring, students are provided the opportunity to participate in the Statewide Assessments provided by the State of Oregon.
